其一：越人歌 先秦•佚名
馮小剛作品的＂夜宴＂，由章子怡、周迅、吳彥祖主演，戲中有段＂越人歌＂的古典舞劇，酷似日本能劇，心想應是源於中原。按越人歌係中國春秋早期使用壯侗族語之越民族古老民歌。該越人歌係先秦無名氏所填詞。詞曰：
今夕何夕兮，搴(ㄑ一ㄢ）舟中流。
What the night of tonight?
Drifting between stream and self in raft.
今日何日兮，得與王子同舟。
What the day of today?
Peregrinating in same cruise boat with Prince we play.
蒙羞被好兮，不訾(ㄗ)詬恥。
With shyness to accept grace invitation of yours.
Without minding criticism of another persons'.
心幾煩而不絶兮，得知王子。
Feeling continuous disturbance,
To know Your Majesty Prince.
山有木兮木有枝，心悅君兮，君不知。
Lush branches propagate and mountain trees stand,
Admiring our Prince but he does not understand.
附註：
〈越人歌〉先秦楚國作品為中國歷史上記載最早的一首翻譯歌；當時的令尹鄂君子晳「泛舟於新波之中」，聽到划船的越人吟唱這首歌，由於歌詞是越語，鄂君子晳聽不懂還找了當地人翻成楚語，即是今日〈越人歌〉。
而「新波」應是指春汛期江水漲新波蕩漾的時節，就在這麼一個時光，鄂君子晳乘了艘刻有青鳥圖案(青翰)的船，佈滿花草 、張設翠羽織成的傘蓋、揮動犀牛尾巴、衣飾斑斕富麗、鐘鼓聲齊鳴，極盡風華在江上遊賞。划船的越人從未見過如此的氣派和排場，更未曾目睹這樣儀表出眾的人，因此在這等美好春光和舟中情境的烘托下頓生敬慕之情，便用母語唱出了表白的歌。詞中
「蒙羞被好兮不訾詬恥」，生動訴說自己因為身份低微卑下而感到羞澀， 卻因深受吸引無法自禁而登船同遊的心情；
「山有木兮木有枝，心說君兮知不知」則藉「枝」與「知」的同音，涵蘊了民歌的雙關；若有似無地以景起興，委婉表達自己對王子的喜悅和感激之情。
據劉向《說苑》所載故事最後有個完美的結局，鄂君子晳這位爵為執圭的楚王母弟，在聽完歌詞的翻譯後深受感動，竟放下貴族的身段，揮起長長的衣袖，走上前去擁抱越人，並拿起繡花的錦被為他覆蓋，結下了一份跨越身份地位的友誼。也由於這首歌謠的詞意太過柔婉，也有許多人認為這是一首情詩，撐船的越人是位女子，她被鄂君子晳翩翩風采所吸引，於是藉著歌聲來傳達心意，結果其曼妙的歌喉與勇氣感動了王子，在遊湖結束後攜著她的手一同歸去，成為一段美麗的愛情故事。
《越人歌》不但詞意婉曲，而且有很高的藝術成就，其長呵句式和纏綿用語都非常接近《楚辭》的悱惻風格，因此也被視為《楚辭》的藝術源頭之一。 另有一說：越人歌最早見於東漢劉向《說苑》善說篇，是中國古代第一首翻 譯詩，不見於詩經。原本是越人駕船用越語唱的歌，表達愛戀楚國王子的歌。 於是請懂得越語的人，用越語唱的歌。後來由楚人用類似楚辭型式翻譯記下， 再由西漢的劉向記錄在《說苑》之中。 夜宴裡越人歌的曲調，則是作曲家譚盾另外編寫的，越人歌原始的曲調，已無法考證。
席慕蓉作品《在黑暗的河流上》，也有著越人歌的韻味：
《在黑暗的河流上》 燈火燦爛 是怎樣的美麗夜晚 你微笑前來緩緩指引我渡向彼岸
（今夕何夕兮 搴舟中流 今日何日兮 與王子同舟） 那滿漲的潮汐 是我胸中滿漲起來的愛意 怎樣美麗而又慌亂的夜晚啊 請原諒我不得不用歌聲 向俯視著我的星空輕輕呼喚 星群聚集的天空 總不如 坐在船首的你光華奪目 我幾乎要錯認也可以擁有靠近的幸福 從卑微的角落遠遠仰望 水波蕩漾 無人能解我的悲傷
（蒙羞被好兮 不訾詬恥 心幾煩而不絕兮 得知王子） 所有的生命在陷身之前 不是不知道應該閃避應該逃離 可是在這樣美麗的夜晚裏啊 藏著一種渴望卻決不容許 只求 只求能得到你目光流轉處 一瞬間的愛憐 從心到肌膚 ， 我是飛蛾奔向炙熱的火焰 燃燒之後 必成灰燼 但是如果不肯燃燒 往後 我又能剩下些什麼呢？ 除了一顆 逐漸粗糙 逐漸碎裂 逐漸在塵埃中失去了光輝的心 我於是奔向烈火 撲向命運在暗處布下的誘惑 用我清越的歌 用我真摯的詩 用一個自小溫順羞怯的女子 一生中所能為你準備的極致 在傳說裏他們喜歡加上美滿的結局 只有我才知道 隔著露濕的蘆葦 我是怎樣目送著你漸漸離去
（山有木兮木有枝 心悅君兮君不知） 當燈火逐盞熄滅 歌聲停歇 在黑暗的河流上被你所遺落了的一切 終於 只能成為 星空下被多少人靜靜傳誦著的 你的昔日 我的昨夜 新詩詩句與古越人歌相互交錯，也是另有一層不同的感受。而夜宴劇中， 用越人歌是用它的寂寞，用它的深婉，情緒表現上含蓄許多。有趣的是， 現在的女性，在愛的情感表現上似乎也變的較為直接了。席慕蓉詩 年代接近現在許多，好像也反映了這樣的時代現象呢。

遠望可以當歸，悲歌可以當泣，
Looking forward to going home through gazing afar,
Mourning song to release sob soar.
思念故鄉，郁郁累累；
Thinking of home, laden with gloom,
Longing for home, veiled with bloom.
欲渡河無船，欲歸家無人，
Without boat for crossing the river,
No families for returning eager.
悲苦不能言，腹中車輪轉。
Feeling grieved so I can't express,
Crashing heart that seems cars press.
其三：長歌行 漢樂府•佚名
青春園中葵，朝露待日晞；
Garden plants grow greenish in view,
Early sun vaporizes the morning dew.
陽春布德澤，萬物生光輝。
Radiant spring diffuses its nourish light,
All creatures turn into lustrous and bright.
常恐秋節至，焜黃華葉衰；
Often afraid of the coming of Mid-autumn drear,
Bloom flowers wilt and flurishing leaves wither.
百川東到海，何時復西歸。
Galloping rivers surge eastern forward to the sea,
When streams flow western backward to be free.
少壯不努力，老大徒傷悲！
Not endeavor at your youth do your best,
No regret at your aged when time passed.
其四：艷歌行 漢樂府•佚名
翩翩堂前燕，冬藏夏來見。
The swallows over the hall they hover,
Come back in summer but hibernating in winter.
兄弟兩三人，流宕在他縣。
Loaf at strange land is my own brother,
They are three one another.
故衣誰當補？新衣誰當綻？
My tatters or rags who will patch?
New clothes by whom to stitch.
賴得賢主人，覽取為吾縫？
By chance the virtuous landlady we acquainted,
All the torns and patches she sewed.
夫婿從門來，斜柯西北眄。
Her husband came back catching the scene,
Conspicously he squinted at us when seen.
語卿且勿眄，水清石自見。
We told him just don't suspect,
Everything is clear to be inspect.
石見何纍纍，遠行不如歸。
Although we are without artifice in mind,
Prefer returning hometown to traveling far land.
其五：飲馬長城窟行 漢樂府•佚名
青青河畔草，綿綿思遠道。
Green green grasses of riverbank extend to sky,
Reminding of you are far away in shy.
遠道不可思，夙昔夢見之。
Without any your message for cherishing,
No matter when now and past in my dream appearing.
夢見在我旁，忽覺在他鄉。
Met you beside in my dream,
When awaken, you still far from team.
他鄉各異縣，展轉不可見。
Land is so remote for stranger,
Because of vagrant hard to encounter.
枯桑知天風，海水知天寒。
Mulberry leaves wilted but feeling north chill piercingly,
Seawater never frozen also catching frigid severely.
入門各自媚，誰肯相為言！
Everyone owns one's reunion when indoor.
The lonely stranger who will care.
客從遠方來，遺我雙鯉魚。
There comes a visitor from far distance,
Here transmits a message for presence.
呼兒烹鯉魚，中有尺素書。
Calling our son has the envelope unsealed,
Inside it was a letter noted.
長跪讀素書，書中竟何如？
Under agitated reading the letter on my knee,
What was written in it for me?
上有加餐食，下有長相憶。
He wants me having meals enough, at the beginning,
He said missing me so much, in the ending.
其六：步出城東門 漢樂府•佚名
步出城東門，遙望江南路。
Strolling toward the gate of eastern,
Staring forward the path of southern.
前日風雪中，故人從此去。
On a blizzard of the other day,
For my old friend left me far away.
我欲渡河水，河水深無梁。
I want to cross the deep river,
But there is no bridge.
願爲雙黄鵠，高飛還故鄉。
Wish I would be a pair of partridges,
Flying me homeland,yearned I would ever.
其七：五言詩 漢 • 無名氏
A poem of five word Anonymous
明月何皎皎，照我羅床幃。
Moonshine shed to be bright,
My bed-curtain of silk to be light.
憂愁不能寐，攬衣起徘徊。
I can't sleep because of sad,
So wake up to linger in clad.
客行雖雲樂，不如早旋歸。
Gone abroad as a guest to be joy,
But not the same as at home to enjoy.
出戶獨彷徨，愁思當告誰？
Pack outdoors alone indecisively,
To whom will endure sorrowfully.
引領還入房，淚下沾裳衣。
Home yearns for returning,
Tears burst into dampening.
其八：庚戌歲九月中于西田獲早稻 晉•陶淵明
Harvest of Dry Rice at Western Farm on Sep. 410 A.D
人生歸有道，衣食固其端；
The ways of life always own logic,
Without lack of main necessities to settle basic.
孰是都不營，而以求自安。
Ambious searching but run for nothing,
How to feel no qualm for aspiring.
開春理常業，歲功聊可觀；
Diligent to be assiduous in early spring,
Gains at the end of year it will bring.
晨出肆微勤，日入負耒還。
When sunrise working at farm harder,
At sunset bearing plow back on shoulder.
山中饒霜露，風氣亦先寒，
Morning hill where frost and dew endowed,
Just first feeling the chill followed.
田家豈不苦？弗獲辭此難。
Without hardship for farming of peasant,
But for them to decline is difficult.
四體誠乃疲，庶無異患幹。
Your four limbs where fatigue grows,
But there will be no evil done when plows.
盥濯息簷下，鬥酒散襟顏，
After washing up but resting under eaves,
Drinking wine with competition to loose sleeves.
遥遥沮溺心，千載乃相關。
Two hermits of Chang Zu & Jey Ner whose mind in way,
All related to the era we pursue.
但願長如此，躬耕非所嘆。
May wish all the same under sky,
Cultivate husbandry I will never sigh.
其九 ： 移居二首 晉•陶淵明 移居(一)
昔欲居南村，非為卜其宅。
Would I ever intend to move to south-village once.
By divination was not the reason for choosing the place.
聞多素心人，樂與數晨夕。
Here are people who living with plain.
From day and night I would like to be neighbor again.
懷此頗有年，今日從茲役。
With that expectation for years to quest.
That was realized at this moment.
弊廬何必廣，取足蔽床席。
Why should I have a luxurious and spacious tent.
It would be enough to accommodate within bed and mat.
鄰曲時時來，抗言談在昔。
Always drop in one another are the neighbors.

奇文共欣賞，疑義相與析。

其十 : 移居(二)
春秋多佳日，登高賦新詩。
More festivals fall on spring & autumn,
Go hiking for crooning poem.
過門更相呼，有酒斟酌之。
Calling friends of neighbor say hello,
Pouring wine and drinking mellow.
農務各自歸，閒暇輒相思。
Done husbandry went back individually,
When at leisure missing mutually.
相思則披衣，言笑無厭時。
When missing in clad visiting friend,
Chatting cheerful without any end.
此理將不勝？無為忽去兹。
This kind of life is pretty & fine actually,
Abandon it unreasonable utterly.
衣食當須記，力耕不吾欺。
Earn one's own living keeps in mind,
Do farm never cheating with bare hand.
其十一：飲酒歌廿首之十一 晉•陶淵明
顏生稱為仁，榮公言有道。
Yen Huei was eminent for his charity,
But he was die at early.(521 A.D.~481 A.D.
屢空不獲年，長飢至於老。
Rong Kong was famous under doctrine,
Also he was poor with famine.(571 A.D.~474 A.D.)
雖留身後名，一生亦枯槁。
Have fame posthumous leaves,
But getting haggard through the life.
死去何所知，稱心固為好。
How can you know when you die?
To gratify is not a lie.
客養千金驅，臨化消其寶。
Have one's own body merited,
That all the same after cremated.

Changing my ambition to do farm here.
秉耒歡時務，解颜勸農人。

平疇交遠風，良苗亦懷新。

When plowing at times we rest,

故園東望路漫漫，
Gazing eastward upon my homeland,
the way for home is unrestrained.

My old arms are shiver,
hard to wipe tears with sleeves.
馬上相逢無紙筆，
I ride a horse meeting you on the road,
without pen and paper to write a note.
憑君傳語報平安。
Only asking you to deliver a mail,
to tell my families I am well.
其十四 : 渡漢江 唐•宋之問
嶺外音書斷，經冬復歷春 ;
The messages from the frontier are intermittent.
Time flying from winter to spring.
近鄉情更怯，不敢問來人。
When returning hometown,
growing the timid. Dare not to inquire the villagers when passing.
其十五 : 相見歡 五代•李煜
林花謝了春紅，太匆匆，
Garden flowers are beautiful and luxuriant.
They sorted because spring changing to and fro quickly.
無奈朝來寒雨晚來風，
How can they stand?
Morning chilly rains and bitter winds to wreck.
胭脂淚，留人罪，幾時重?
Farded belle in tears is pathetic and touching.
Always makes hers intexicating.
自是人生長恨水長東。

What's the grief of party can't be cut.
The more trim you prime, the more mess you embroiled.

The sorrow of parting is hard to taste.

其十七 : 淥水曲 唐•李白
淥水明秋月，南湖採白蘋 ;
Limpid stream shinning as the autumn moon alike.
We reap the water plant at Dong-ting Lake.
荷花嬌欲語，愁殺盪舟人。
The unchanging lotus seems to be blooming.
The bashful mind of oarswoman to be touching.
其十八 : 責子 晉•陶淵明
白髮被兩鬢，肌膚不復實；
Temple's hairs are growing hoary.
Muscles don't be dense and skins don't be flabby.
雖有五男兒，總不好紙筆；
Althoough I kept five boys,
Reading and writing are mot their hobbys.
阿舒已二八，懶惰故無匹．
Sisteen is the oldest one's age,
No one can compare to his lazy.
阿宣行志學，而不愛文術．
My second son is fifteen years old,
But the arts are not his hold(goal).
雍端年十三，不知六與七．
Thirteen is the third and the fourth at this moment,
But not wise enough for development.
通子垂九齡，但覓梨與栗．
The youngest son is nine,
But his hobby is only for pears and nuts.
天運苟如此，且進杯中物．
Not under my control is decree divine,
How about to drink wine in the pot.
其十九：雜詩 唐•王維
君自故鄉來，應知故鄉事；
You came from my hometown,
What happened you should know now.
來日綺窗前，寒梅著花未？
The gauze window, when passing by, opened.
Winter plum flowers, on the route, bloomed.
其二十：歲晚書事 宋•劉克在
日日抄書懶出門，小窗弄筆到黃昏，
Day by day I never step out the threshold but busy on transcribing the book,
Arranging my writing brush by the window till dusk.
丫頭婢子忙勻粉，不管先生硯水渾．
Young maids painting on their faces are rouge and powder,
The ink in the inkstone of master's became muddy they never care.
其二十一：雜詩八首 其一 晉•陶淵明
人生無根蒂，飄如陌上塵．
Our wonder life is rootless,
Just like drifting of the field dust.
分散逐風展，此已非常身．
By the wind blowing it spreads,
The self is not as the same as the past.
落地為兄弟，何必親骨肉．
Why we should be sibling,
When we were been born here.
得歡且作樂，斗酒聚比鄰．
On the happy days we enjoying,
Gathering the neighbors to drink wine everywhere.
盛年不重來，一日難再晨．
The preperous age never return,
In one day will not have past morning turn.
及時當勉勵，歲月不待人．
We should encourge mutural in time,
Never wait for you to run is the tide and time.
其二十二：歸園田居 晉•陶淵明
種豆南山下，草盛豆苗稀；
Under southern hill growing soybean,
In the field sprouts thin but weeds overgrown.
晨興理荒穢，帶月荷鋤歸．
Cultivating aridity in the early morning,
Returning with hoe on shoulder when the moon hanging.
道狹草木長，夕露沾我衣，
The narrow ridge of the field grows the grass,
The dew of the dawn moistens my sleeves.
衣沾不足惜，但使願無違．
No pity to wet my clothes,
Without violation to make my desires.
其二十三：代鄰叟 唐•竇鞏
年來七十罷耕桑，就暖隻嬴強下床；
When seventy, retired from sericulture and farming,
When warm, forced to get off bed with body frail and weaking.
滿眼兒孫身外事，閑梳白髮對殘陽．
Fulling with affairs of sons and grandsons,
Combing my silver hairs in leisure facing the dropping sun.
其二十四：歸家 唐•杜牧
稚子牽衣問，歸來何太遲；
The childish son pulls my sleeves asking me,
Why are you back homelate lonely?
共誰爭歲月，贏得鬢絲邊．
With whom are you rival for the days,
What winning is silver hairs on your temples.
其二十五：梧桐影 唐•呂岩
落日斜，秋風冷，
The slanting of setting sun,
The dreary wind of autumn.
今夜故人來不來，
Tonight, whether do my dear friend arriving?
教人立盡梧桐影．
Under the shadows of parasol trees is me standing.
其二十六：清明 唐•杜牧
Tomb Sweeping
清明時節雨紛紛，路上行人欲斷魂；
During Tomb Sweeping Festival, dizzling rains are steady falling,
On the road, breaking tears are the passangers mourning.
借問酒家何處有，牧童遙指杏花村．
Asking where is the travern located?
Amid the direction of apricot flower village, the shepherd boy virtual pointed.
其二十七：湖上 宋•徐元杰
On the Lake
花開紅樹亂鶯啼，草長平湖白鷺飛；
Among the trees are red flowers blooming,
At random are the yellow warblers chirbing.
Flourshing is the grass on West Lake,
Flying over is the white egret.
風日晴和人意好，夕陽簫鼓幾船歸．
Breeze blowing softly and sun shinning,
The tourists enjoying on boating,
Playing drums and flutes with the sunset glow,
Enjoying thoroughly behind the return flow.
其二十八：擬古 其三 晉•陶淵明
仲春遘時雨，始雷發東隅．
On mid-spring, the rain is falling,
From eastern border, it comes the sound of first thunder.
眾蟄各潜駭，草木從橫舒．
After hiberation, all the worms revive from winter,
Plants and trees extend crisscrossing.
翩翩新來燕，雙雙入我廬．
Flying back are the swallows they ever leave.
Perching in twin in my eave.
先巢故尚在，相將還舊居．
The former nest is still on there,
Returning back to old dwelling together.
自從分別來，門庭日荒蕪．
Since you bid me farewell,
Lying waste of courtyard and drying up of well.
我心固匪石，君情定何如?
As usual, my belief is unswerving,
How about your faith is still the same thing.
其二十九：擬古 其七 晉•陶淵明
日暮天無雲，春風扇微和，
When sunset, no sky cloud floating,
The breeze of vernal as soft as the fan swaying.
佳人美清夜，達曙酣且歌，
The beauty chants the tranquil night,
Singing and drinking till twilight.
歌竟長歎息，執此感人多，
At the end of song heaving sigh deeply,
The motion was stirred sentimental quickly.
皎皎雲間月，灼灼葉中華，
Amid the cloud is bright moonlight hanging,
Among the green leaves are flowers blooming.
豈無一時好，不久當如何．
All of those glories are fleeting,
How about are they going lately?
其三十：社日 唐•王駕
Spring Sacrificy Day to Land God
鵝湖山下稻粱肥，豚柵雞棲半掩扉；
